Macallan is a decent scotch, and a 60 year old bottle of scotch should run you around $100 - $150 if it has been properly stored.

Scotch does get better with time while it's still in the barrel. Once it is bottled, it can only get worse (if improperly cared for).

Below is a link for a bottle of Macallans from 1841. It's going for $224.99.

My sugestion? Enjoy your bottle of scotch.

Can I do a shot with you? Just kidding. I will give you $120 for it as long as the label is still in decent shape. Let me know if you would like to make a deal.

I can tell you that wines don't get better forever. After so many years it becomes vinegar. Whiskey ages the same way.
