This really isn't even your responsibility. Tell your boyfriend to man-up and tell her that he's already got a girl. It's his issue to face...

I'm a mother of two and to tell you the truth you need to sit down and think real hard about this .
1.Your just a child and only in eighth grade and so is your boyfriend.
2. I'm sure this girl you call Sophia know about both of you being together. You'll in the same school and words spread fast.
3.You need to focus on your grades in order to graduate.
4. Never feel bad for a girl who like your boyfriend.
5. Stick to your true feeling and tell your friend Kaley to respect your relationship with your boyfriend.
6. You wrote that this whole thing is a joke play by Kaley..never and I mean never play with someone else feeling or play with their emotion. You also need to face her in a well manner and let her know that your with him. Walk away and just let it go.

I don't think you can do anything that will be painless, but you could soften the blow. It might embarrass her if you were to approach her yourself (and she might think he still likes her and that you are just jealous), so you need to talk to Kaley about fessing up. SHE is the one that has let this go too far, and SHE should be the one to apologize to the girl and admit she was wrong, even if she didn't intend to be mean. Your bf should stop avoiding her and let her down easy if she does ask him out, explaining that she's a nice girl, but he has a girlfriend. This will end it. She may be hurt and embarrassed anyway, but this is probably the best end to this story. She'll get over it and probably have a new crush in a couple of weeks. Almost every girl will deal with unrequited love at some point in her early teens, but we all bounce back okay.

Well, I'll give you a lot of credit for having concerns for Sophia's feelings. She's younger and probably innocently trying to let some nice guy (who's involved with you) know it. Ok. So you're involved with the guy, she's interested in the guy. What to do? Can't blame her friends for encouraging her (they probably do not know about you either.) I would speak with your boyfriend and let him know how you feel about the situation and not wanting her to get hurt. Ask him to sit down with Sophia and nicely, gently let her know that you exist and that he cares for you. and that if things should change in the future (which they sometimes do at such young ages) He's very flattered to know of her interest and will keep in in mind. In the mean time, maybe the they could be friends. REmember,,,don't be jealous of a friendship if you trust this young man with you heart. It's a nice way for sophia to not feel rejected and still have an opportunity to build a friendship (maybe with both of you. ) I like your sensitive nature. You can direct this. I can tell by how you wrote your question.

First of all I applaud you for being so mature. Most girls your age would have handled it way worse. Only thing you can really do is..nothing....Your boyfriend should be the one to break it to her..gently... All he has to do is say something like "Im sorry but I have a girlfriend"...as far as your friend Kaley goes?..Shes needs some lessons on being a bit more mature an she should realize that this could happen to HER!...Good luck hun!

Go tell Kaley to stop sayin that to the girl and getting her hopes up and stuff.. And u might want to tell that sophia girl that your going out with him or get kaley to tell her that you too are going out. if not be with him more often and like kiss infront of her and she'll probaly get the point.

Just nicely tell her that he already has a girlfriend. Maybe try and be her friend. Whatever you do do not be mean or insult her for thinking he likes her. Explain that Kaley was just joking and that you girls never meant to hurt her feelings and just be nice about it. She will probably move on and find another boy to crush on.

I remember likeing a boy when i was in the sixth grade. the whole class made fun of me because of it. i got picked on quiet often back then. I would tell your friend she should lay off the girl. Hurting feelings is as bad as broken hearts. Be friendly to this girl your in the eighth and she is younger than you. You could just tell the girl that your the boys girlfriend so no one else will make fun of her. This could scar her for life. like it did me.

For one your friend shouldn't even joked with Sophia like that because now she think your boyfriend what to go out with her.I think your friend was wrong and your boyfriend should just tell Sophia that he have a girlfriend cause if he don't he will be leading her on basically.

You and your boyfriend should just go up to her and tell her. She doesn't need to know you for you to tell her the truth. Kaley should go with you, too.
