A king wanted to know, who is the smartest man in his kingdom. So he announced a race. Everyone from his kingdom were obliged to participate. So they were on the starting line on their horses, ready to race, when the king's jester announced the rules:
"Whoever's horse arrives last - wins!"
And they were all standing there not moving for a few hours. After that the king's jester showed up again and said:
"Whoever tells the king how to get this race going will get half of the king's kingdom and the king's daughter for his wife!"
A man instantly jumped from his horse and whispered something in the king's ear.
The king announced him to be the smartest man in his kingdom and rewarded him as he had promised.
What did that man say?

He said:
"Let us switch our horses, so everyone will try to get his rival's horse to arrive first."
Get it?
