I mean people say like a name of a person and at the end they put (sp?)

I mean i dont know what it mean

can anyone tell me?

SP? MEANS THEY ARE NOT SURE OF THE SPELLING OF THE WORD.

It means "spelling." As in, if they put something like "onomatopoeia (sp?)" the sp? would mean that they're not sure of the correct spelling.

sp? means that they know they may not have spelled the word correctly
sp by itself is an abbreviation for species

Well, I put that after a word if I'm not quite sure of the spelling.
