tomato soup with basil-pamisean cream
recipe????i need it b4 tomorrow, the 12 of january 2007, so HURRY UP
i need it 4 a stupid recipe book that i am doing 4 a home ec. class that is totally stupid. cooking, sewing. BORING!

Tomato Soup with Basil-Parmesan Cream
This recipe serves: 6

Preparation time : 20 minutes
Cooking time : 35 minutes


Ingredients
1/2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1/2 cup finely chopped celery
1 large onion, chopped
10 ripe plum tomatoes, halved
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
3 cups low-sodium chicken broth or vegetable broth
1/4 cup chopped, fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons non-fat sour cream



Cooking Instructions
1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over low-medium heat. Add the carrot, celery, onion and tomatoes, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes.

2. Add the bay leaf, oregano and broth and bring to a boil quickly over high heat.

3. Lower the heat and simmer until the vegetables are completely tender, about 20 minutes.

4. Blend the basil, Parmesan cheese and sour cream together and set aside.

5. Remove the bay leaf and puree the soup in a blender. Strain and adjust the salt and pepper.

6. Serve the soup in bowls with a dollop of basil-Parmesan cream.

One 15 oz can stewed tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
4 oz shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 pt heavy cream
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Place all ingredients in a blender, mix on pulse setting until smooth, about one minute.

Heat slowly, on medium heat, stirring constantly. Serve topped with toasted croutons if desired.

* 2 large onions, sliced lengthwise
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 cups chickpeas, drained
* 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped and divided
* 2 cups tomato sauce
* 4 cups fat-free vegetable broth
* 4 Roma tomatoes, diced
* 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

In a medium stockpot, saut� onions and garlic in oil over medium heat until tender. Add chickpeas and 1 tablespoon of basil and saut� 1 minute. Add tomato sauce, broth, and tomatoes. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in remaining basil a few minutes before serving. Top with Parmesan cheese.

Yes!!! It takes 20 minutes to prep 2 hours to cook. This is a family recipe i dont mind giving out. It makes 3 servings

4lb. tomatoes seeded and diced
2TBSP. chopped fresh basil
1/2 large onion, minced
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste

1. in large sausepan cook tomatoes and basil onver med. low heat until tomatoes are soft.
2. Meanwhile in med. skillet saute onion and garlic in olive oil until onions are translucent.
3. add onion mixture to tomato mixture and add salt and pepper. Let simmer on low heat for 2 hours or until thick.

Creamy Tomato Soup
4 tomatoes - peeled, seeded and diced
4 cups tomato juice
1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ tsp. Basil, minced
1/2 cup butter
salt and pepper to taste
parmesan cheese to taste

Place tomatoes and juice in a stock pot over medium heat. Simmer for 30 minutes. Puree the tomato mixture and return the puree to the stock pot. Place the pot over medium heat, and stir in the heavy cream basil and butter. Season with salt and pepper. Heat, stirring until the butter is melted. Do not boil. Place in bowls, top with parmesan to taste.

find some lwan gnomes laying around. shoot your cat and throw it in the microwave. cook for about 12 1/2 minutes, throw your gnome at your neighbors corvette and enjoy!
