I was just thinking that the Germans & British appear to be very intelligent people. They appear to have invented & discovered lots. TV, telephone, radar, internet, laws of motion, engines and so on, maybe its their diet.

The Jews like to brag that their IQ averages slightly higher than that of the Germans, who are in turn a high-IQ European culture. What they don't tell you is that the Scots beat the Jews on the same tests. The Asians are also smart, but let's not get carried away. Their average IQ is about 104. The average White IQ is 102. You can find both Asian and White subracial groups with average IQs significantly higher than their general racial averages.

Well, I am german and I consider myself as intelligent, but I think it is impossible to generalize features like "intelligence" to a culture or country.
For sure there are differences in "knowledge" (depending on the school system), but that has nothing to do with intelligence.
And germans invent and invented a lot, but that's also a cultural thing (like the way we work and stuff like that). I am not even sure if we really invent more than any other average country, I actually would tend to say that germans are not as much adapted to the "modern world" as for example USA or Japan is, to be honest. But that has not as much to do with "intelligence" as with the structures of society.
Concluding this you can say that for example japanese people are very intelligent on the one side, but they can be really stupid, ignorant and arrogant, too. Same is valid for any other country or cultural group, including germans.

Sweden is number 1. Next is Japan. USA and Great Britain are neck and neck with number 13.

Sorry, but oriental countries like Japan, China, Korea score highest in education and level of knowledge.

If you choose inventions as your criteria, then inventiveness should be the attribute - or pioneering spirit. I think intelligence is difficult to define.
