I know that pretty much everything in your religion wasn't originally in English. Is there a correct / unoffensive spelling for Koran / Quran and Mohammah / Muhammad. I've seen dozens of variations.
And if anyone posts anything here about how Islam is an evil religion of child molestors or any other hateful nonsense, I promise I'll report you, so sully my question at your own risk.

Erin, I love the way you speak. The original correct spellings were 'Quran' (because of the emphasis you have to put in the 'Q') and 'Muhammad'.

Well there really isnt a completely correct spelling because all those words are in Arabic.
Use common sense when dealing with this, if youre unsure please add an apology while you mention such words to people you think you might offend. But there really isnt anything to be offended by realy.
And in some parts of the world, the words will differ according to the main language in the area. Like the French have different spelling for some of those words, than the Americans do...
so use whatever you think best suites the cultural background of the listener/reader.
but again, you cant know that unless youve been researching their culture so its all good if u ask me.
As an observation, Ive seen the following spellings being used in Enligh more often than anything:
Mosque/Masjid
Muhammad
Quran

thanks for the question , no it is the same muhammed , Mohammed , or Quran , Qu'ran , koran, it wouldnot change any thing it is the same pronounciation, besides we mostly care what is written about them and not how the asker spell them , that what matters to me!
but i'ld like to make a note here that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad in Arabic only. So, any Quranic translation, either in English or any other language, is neither a Quran, nor a version of the Quran, but rather it is only a translation of the meaning of the Quran. The Quran exists only in the Arabic in which it was revealed.

Muslim (or majority of them) spell these world as Quran and Muhammad.
Sometimes people may put apostrophe like Qur'an but without it is acceptable.
You may find Muhammad written some other ways but the preferred, close to its Arabic root in pronunciation is Muhammad.
In summary, majority use it as Quran and Muhammad.

Both spellings are correct, of both words. Mohammed, and Koran are just ways of spelling these words to make it easier for us westerners to pronounce them with less difficulty. But the actual, islamic way of spelling them is quran/ Muhammad.

Oh, by the way, the English spellings would be both Correct - Quran and Koran as also would be Mohammad and Muhammad.
Incidentally, did you know that the early English spellings and words for Muslims used to be Moslems and Mohammadens?
I think that came from the Anglicization of the Arabic word Mussallameen!?!?
Any way, I don't know for sure, but I think Koran is the Americanization of the English Quran, because we'd have simplified it, I guess!?!?

it doesn't matter as long as the spelling doesn't change the meaning but usually Quran / Muhammad r the most used

No. many people either use...Koran or Qur'an (in English)
and Muhammad or Mohammad or Muhammed or Mohammed.
I use (an American Muslim...Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh))
What ever you use--it will not be offensive unless the intention IS there to be offensive.

It doesn't matter , as long as u pronounce the names in the right manner
