if you've not done excercise or used specific muscle groups for ages then its going to hurt until you get used to it. its just the way it goes unfortunately. byt hey, at least you know its working and your body will be getting stronger and more toned. you could try eating a protein snack within 30 mins of your excercise, ie chicken/ beans/ protein shake etc. this helps repair the muscle fiber quicker, hence quicker recovery. i have a protein shake after my workout and my muscles dont feel anywhere near as sore as they did before i started drinking them.

your muscles are getting a beating and probably not getting enough fuel from your body to recover quickly. I would suggest you take something to ensure you are getting the right amount of protein into your system swell as vitamins and nutrients etc. Your muscles are trying to pull in protein from other parts of your body and it probably isnt there. You can do this without gaining weight, infact you can do this lose weight if you want to. Go to www.myhealthabc.com

If I were you i would just wait until you stop being sore, stretches are really for before and right after workouts to prevent sore muscles. For now you should try to rest them. I dont know about remedies, all i can say is, rest.
