If you have a coffee maker...IF....try setting it for 10 minutes after your alarm goes off. The smell of the coffee will lead you out of bed....and after the first sip you'll be ready to start the day!! Good luck to you

First, try going to sleep earlier. That will ensure your body has enough rest to wake up at earlier times.
Another thought is to use some mind tricks by setting your clock back 1 or 2 hours so that if your alarm is set for 8am, you are really waking up at 7am. Sometimes that much of a significant of a difference can work.
I had a similar problem like you b/c it would take me forever to unwind and go to sleep but i learned if i turn all the lights out at night and force myself, i will eventually go to sleep earlier. I was always late so i set all of my clocks even the one in my car 20 minutes ahead so now i am always ontime. (i'm still working on trying to get places early)

It's not really a matter of how.
It's why.
You feeling too warm and comfortable is something you can't really solve.
And that 'natural tendency" to slam on the snooze isn't really the problem.
Either you sleep in an uncomfortable way or move your alarm clock out of reach so you have to get up to turn it off.
Or, you could decide not to be lazy. :P

i am in high school and have to wake up at 6:00 to catch my bus at 7:00. I have a problem getting out of bed so I put my alarm clock across my room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off. Also, I set my alarm at 6:30 and I always hit the snooze button however I try not to, but I always do. my alarm goes off every 5 minutes. so every 5 minutes for a half an hour, I have to get up go turn off my alarm clock. That really helps getting me up instead of it going off once at the exact time you have to get up and the possibility you may fall asleep again.
hope i could help!

Ummm.......I would suggest you go to bed earlier. You can also move you alarm clock away from your bed so you have to get up to push snooze or turn it off in the morning,,,,My last suggestion is set your alarm about half-an-hour ahead of time so you can still snooze it but you wont over sleep

Put your alarm clock across the room so you can reach it.

I also set my cell phone alarms also, set them about 15 min apart so i can still snooze if i want! But still wake up in time to get where I have to without being late!!

I'm a nurse and a college student also. I set my alarm for an hour before it's time for me to get up. I do check the time often, but I do have that extra time to actually get out of bed. I hope this is useful to you. Take care.

I had a friend w/this same problem.....he had to set THREE alarm clocks, all in different rooms......the third one, was the old fashioned wind up kind, and he put it in an aluminum pie pan to make extra noise....heeheehee...it worked though...most of the time:)
