I hate to sound like that old fart that is always siding with the parents, but wait till you're 18. I did. I'm sure you're using that "I'm mature enough for this" argument, but if you sneak behind her back and get it done it'll prove the exact opposite. Trust me, if you really want the snake bites, you'll still want them when you're 18. After I went to college, I went on a spree and got a bunch of piercings down and had a blast. I took them out when I was at home, just out of repect for my parents (I paid for my own schooling) and it helped our relationship a lot.

it depends on how old you are...and if you are trying to convince her then chances are that you are probably not old enough, not only that but she honestly must not be allowing you to get it done for health reasons too. Or the fact that you might be young and might just want that piercing because its becoming very trendy thanks to mtv....
i'd say hold up until you are legally allowed to get one done on your own and see if thats what you really wanted.
in the mean time, why dont you do some reading on SAFE Piercings?

Well aside from what your mom thinks, you also have to think about what the outside world thinks about people with facial piercings. I'm not saying that piercings are a bad thing. I simply say it from experience. I wanted a job very badly and no one would hire me because of it. Unfortunately, I took it out. I had to prioritize. And it wasn't because of my mom, who happened to hate it very much. So think about everyone and everything you might encounter. Piercings are a fun way to show your individuality.

if you aren't 18... you have to wait.
if you are 18 or older and your mom will just get mad at you, then you should check out some of the clear plastic retainers that they sell online.

Make her a deal. like make a deal by keep your grades up(if your in high school)and in return you can get your lip pierced. and ask her why you couldnt. i dont understand parents that are like that. i can understand some things.

first off how old r u and if ur in collage or somethin than just get it done ur old enough and independent enough u dont need her telling u what u can and cant do anymore.
