Bulimia is actually more damaging than anorexia. I'm recovering bulimic/anorexic, and here are some of the things I have personally gone through in just 2 years:
- heart attack. The depleted potassium causes this.
- dehydration (the result is terrible stomach cramps and severe constipation)
- no enamel on my back teeth. I have 4 crowns
- heartburn I will have for the rest of my life. It's very painful
- super-thin hair. It used to be very thick
- an overall sick, gaunt look, even though i am very thin.
- Mallory-Weiss tear. This is when your stomach lining tears and you vomit blood profusely. Very scary. You'll be in the hospital for awhile.
-ulcers
- people saying snide and mean things to you for being skinny
There are more. Getting help is a good start, but it's very difficult. They say you will struggle with tendencies all your life.

From what I've learned, bulimia causes quick malnutrition and corrodes your teeth. Even worse is that overtime, it causes irreversible damage to the esophagus. You can get better if you stop early enough. However, bulimics are sometimes addicted to binging and purging. And it could be very troublesome to stop altogether. Take care.

I'm a nurse. Yes one can recover and get better. Now for the current person, they can seriously hurt their body. Like their throats for instance is severely damaged from the vomiting. This damage isn't reversible unfortunately. But people recover and live normal lives. Take care and I hope this helps you.

Death!
So dont think about as a good way to lose and keep weight off.
Your body will NEVER be quite the same after you have damaged it in such a way. Just isnt worth the price to look good on the outside, is it?!

your stomach acid will break apart your esophagus and break down the enamel in your teeth. so in the long run you will collapse your esophagus and could die. If you stop making yourself throw up you will do less damage to your body, but you'll never fully heal from your stomach acid.

being bulimic is really bad. by constantly throwing up your food you can burn out the lining of your throat and become dangerously thin.

Oooh, this is easy.
First of all, your teeth rot from all of the acid of throwing up.
Secondly, you have hideous breath.
Thirdly, you look like death with onion rings.
Fourthly, you DIE.
Sorry to be harsh, but that is the truth of it.
Yes, you can get better. You absolutely can get better.
