Buddhist scripture is not like the bible (unchanging), it is constantly being updated, rewritten and added to in the light of scientific discoveries and philosophical insights.

ONE of the original canons is theTripitaka (used by the Theravada school of Buddhism), there are also thousands of original Mahayana and Tantric texts

buddhism dosent have a sacred book its more of just a philosophy on life. but they do have like a book of quotes from buddah i think.
