u can't be too young to be broken heart, but when u get to college, and get broken heart then u'll realize that this "broken heart" that u have right now is nothing like u'll feel at that time. just be strong cuz u'll have worse feeling than u'r feeling right now. so u should prepare urself for future. cuz if u'r feeling too sad and depressed right now, u'll be worse afterward if u don't know how to control ur feelings. it might be hard but just keep urself busy and u won't have time to feel sad and depressed and u'll forget about ur broken heart. keep urself busy in school, get good grades. don't ruin ur study for some stupid guy who might not even be there for u for more than few weeks/months/yrs. anyways. goodluck. have fun.

I don't think it is called a broken heart! I think it is just hurt feelings. You are a little young and just starting the relationship stuff...as a big sister I would tell you that boys are not that important and that finding a really good friend that will be there for you and care about you is way more important. Boys always will break your heart, they will never be what you want until you are old enough to just push them a way and make them fight for your love. You should never chase boys, make them like you...do your hair nice and wear nice clothes get good grades and have sleepovers and REAL friends. There are tons of boys out there many different kinds... save yourself until you are swept off your feet and you can't touch the ground, where your stomach has billions of butterflies in it. This will be the man you can wait for, if it is ment to be he will find you.

are you too young to have really been in love? yes.
are you too young to have a broken heart? no.
anyone can have a "broken heart"...you don't have to be in love with someone to have a broken heart. but at 12, it'll only last a little while...at the most a few months. you'll get over it soon enough...and about being in love at twelve, i highly doubt it's happened. i'm sure you liked the guy and now it hurts, but love is a different thing than like. at 12, you aren't really mature enough to know what love is, or even have the time to get to know a person well enough to truly love them...

Hmmm... I saw a good play once. A girl gave her heart to a guy and he ripped it up. She tried to put it back together, but the next time she gave it away, it had the scars of the tear on it. The 2nd guy ripped it up even more... and she repaired it the best she could, but it had even more scars on it. My advice to you is this... protect your heart. It is a precious thing.... YES... you can have a broken heart... but think about your future... do you really want your future husband to get a heart that is all scarred up and has been broken over and over again???

There's actually no such thing as being 'too young to have a broken heart'. Teens have feelings too, and it's unfair for someone to say that just because we're younger, we don't have mature feelings yet. So I definitely believe what you have experienced was heartbreak. Sorry.

Age is irrelevant. Young people and children can have their hearts broken just the same as older people. They might recover quicker, but the pain of losing a love is just as real.

No-your age doesn't keep you from having strong feelings about someone and getting hurt when the relationship doesn't work out. It can feel even more intense when you are younger also, since it is a new experience/feeling.
