I think that you should try to talk to a counselor or psychiatrist first because they will know best how to handle your situation. I have Bulimia and I have had it since I was 11 yrs old and now I am 18 yrs old. I was really scared to tell anyone and i would always say that i am fine but Inside i knew I was not fine. I would go off on anyone if I thought that they suspected that i had an eating disorder. Find someone that you can trust and take small steps maybe tell a little bit of thing to the person each day, do not try to let all of the feelings out at once because you will make yourself go crazy. it will be too overwhelming for you. If you want to talk you can email me at bigmamat_4life@yahoo.com and my name is Terrencia. I know it is a struggle but you are going to get through it. Just believe in yourself

The people at church were reaching out to you so accept the help. People will not look at you differently if you ask for help. Tell someone now before it is too late. You can die if leave an eating disorder go untreated and since you are here asking for help that means you don't want to die. Tell someone and you will feel like you just took 20 pounds off your shoulder.

You just told a bunch of strangers...all of us on Yahoo answers. All of the responses I read before adding my words were positive. We don't know you and we want to help...without judging you. Just imagine how wonderfully supportive your friends, family or members of your church will be.
You haven't done anything wrong or shameful. Please reach out to the people who are close to you. They want to help, at least as much as we who answer your question do. Try asking for their help. I bet you won't be alone for long. You will soon find out that others have the same feelings and the same disorder.

OH NO!!! Never think that way!! Come fourth to your pastor and let him/her know this. And trust them to keep it amongst the two of you until you are comfortable letting others know. But never feel ashamed and you are never alone. I made that mistake when I was going through depression, and I almost lost everyone I cared for in my life because I shut them out. It may not be the same problem, but I am sure you understand what I mean Hun. And no one will see you differently, if anything, they will respect you even more if they are the true christians that you believe they are Hun. They will support you through this no matter what. =)

it is okay to be scared you would not be normal if you weren't but you need to confide in someone you can trust and seek help it is very important to get your situation resolved before it becomes to much for you to handle if you have been a member of your church for a while you may talk to your pastor . i feel you have more courage than you believe or you would not have asked total strangers for help on line . i suggest you also may look in your local telephone directory for help there are bound to be some local anonymous support groups . do what you feel in your heart what is right but definitely confide in someone and get help it is out there and may the Lord lead you on the path to better health and a wonderful life

Honey I'm so sorry. Please don't feel alone, there's many young people like yourself going through the same thing. I do think though that you need to speak to someone professional about this. You're off to a good start already, I'm sure people are writing in right now who are concerned about you including myself!
Keep your head up and keep smiling. You'll be alright.
God and his Angels are keeping watch over you.
