Scary. Imagine tiny machines so small that they can manipulate atoms themselves. "Constructing" raw materials out of anything. Since all matter in the universe is made of the same stuff in different combinations then if manipulted correctly a rock could be changed into a donut. All you need to know is the molecular structure of the donut and "program" the tiny nano-bots to change eveything they see into that structure. Also since it would be so expensive at first to make these tiny machines they would be programed to re-create themselves for a specific length of time. Now what do we now about computers? They break, ALL THE TIME. So one Nano-bot malfunctions. It begins to duplicate uncontrollably and then, inexplicably, begins to make everything into cheese. It would be impossible to stop these machines. If you were to capture them (which would be impossible), what would you do with them? Put them in a container? Only if you want a cheese container. So these nano-bots turn EVERYTHING into cheese. Me, you, trees, the ENTIRE planet. Image what the aliens would think!

Nanotechnology refers to electronic circuit o or mechanism which size are of nano meters.

Five atoms in row are the same size of a nanometer

So every device, material, instrument in the scale of
5 to 50 atoms is what we call nanotechnology
