Its bad to pierce your tongue yourself...but if you go to a reputable and clean piercer.....its not bad. There is some risk of tooth and gum damage....and good research of a piercing before actually getting the piercing is a good idea....check out this website...

i don't know what you mean by bad. pain? none at all because there are no pain receiving nerves in the center of your tongue. the swelling afterward is somewhat painful but it's dealable. the thing you need to be mindful of is that if the barbell rests on your gums at the base of your teeth it is likely to push down your gums and can cause tooth loss. it takes a while for this to happen. i got my tongue pierced in 1998 and in 2004 my gums had been pushed down enough for my dentist to recommend that i remove my barbell unless i wanted to lose my two front bottom teeth. in almost three years my gums are still not fully back to where they should be.
also many work places will not allow what they call "trendy" or "fad" piercings which include the tongue. i wonder how long something has to be a societal norm before it is no longer considered to be a "fad"?

You spelled Tongue wrong. Is the question " Is it bad to pierce your tongue?" If so, its not bad, it causes some problems for some people, but its different on everyone. Get it done. lol.

Not really. The only bad thing about it is an infection and a very small chance of damage to part of the brain if the piercing goes though the big vein underneath your tongue. Both shouldn't happen if done proficiently. Happy piercing!

no if you feel good about it, go ahead. i believe people should do what makes them happy and comfortable, as long as u are not breaking any law or invading another's privacy or space ,it's fine to pierce any part of your body.It's not bad to pierce your tung.

ok first of all ChaCHa is a loser!! i think tongue rings are hot! and fun!!! for other things. my fiancee has one. and at first when you get it, your tongue is swollen a little and it feels funny to talk. then the swelling goes down and you might wnat to get a new bar and balls. because the bar used was for the piercing and might be to big when swelling goes down and the metal balls hurt your teeth if you clinck it around in your mouth.
but they are awesome! but be careful its a habit to click it around your mouth and make noise.

it depends! i like people with piercing i don`t have the balls to do it tho but just know that if your tongue gets infected it will go straight to your brain.

If you are not old enough or intelligent enough to know how to spell TONGUE, yes it is bad.
