The only person who can answer that for you is your employer or look on your card--it should say right on it what the deductable is for an emergency room visit.

Depending on the plan, your copay is usually $50 or $100. Your insurance card usually has the amount. If not, call the number on your card and they can tell you. It may be less to go to an urgent care. Calling BCBS will get you the location of the nearest urgent care center.

Most of the time, unless you are admitted to the hospital, there is a co-pay to use the emergency room. If you are admitted, they waive the co-pay.

MY co-pay for the emergency room is $100 - which gives me incentive to get in an office visit instead.

It depends.... Most of them do, but call member services on your card to find out the specifics so you don't get any nasty surprises.
