If you die with one unrepented sin (no matter what it is) will you go to Hell forever?

You must repent- repentence is so important, or else the death of Jesus Christ and his resurrection is void. If someone says they believe and yet keep on sinning- without repenting, even if it is one sin- did they truly trust the Lord? Did the holy spirit reside in them, urging them to repent? God gives us His holy spirit, to convict us, and we confess our sins to the Lord--Repentence needs to be preached more in the church- or else people are missing a HUGE piece of the gospel....and usually those people end up falling away from the truth.

Ezekiel 18:32
For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

It's a pretty common misconception among non-believers (not saying you are one though) that Christians believe your going to heaven or hell is dependent upon how good/bad you are, and your sins. The truth is that if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, you will enter heaven (it's as simple as that, but God knows our hearts and whether we are sincere). We need to ask forgiveness for our sins and turn away from them, but they alone are not what determines whether or not we go to heaven.

In the Catholic faith, if you die with only venial sins on your heart (small sins like cussing), you'll spend time in Purgatory to cleanse your soul because you cannot enter Heaven tarnished. However, if you've committed cardinal sins such as murder, adultery, etc. (think Ten Commandments) and haven't confessed them, then you'll most likely go to Hell. There's no such thing as "once saved, always saved."

No, Christ paid for ALL of a Christian's sins at once. All of the Christians sins are already taken care of forever from the time he/or she accepts Christ. Therefore, one unrepentant sin will not "send the Christian to hell" but they will have to answer for it in Heaven.

At the very foundation of our victory is the forgiveness Christ has granted to us. When we sin and blow it big time we must do what Peter did when he denied Christ. The Bible says he went out and wept bitterly over his sin. He was in turmoil of hate for himself and his sin and loss of joyful fellowship and usefulness which had been his.

You don't get to stay with God if you're name's not in the Book of Life, and that happens when you get the Mark of the Beast, which comes from putting your faith and soul into the wrong prophets.

Not if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior. He already paid the price for our sins.

Honestly, it depends on which sect you're a part of. If you're an Armenian Christian, then yes, you're screwed. If you're a Calvanistic Christian, then you believe that "once saved, always saved" and you should be fine.

I said that in the other thread and got Thumbs Down for it, goodness knows why.
