YES because He promised in His word that He would save His elect from the wrath to come (pouring out of His wrath on the world - Great tribulation). However, accepting Christ as your Savior does not guarantee you to be caught up in the rapture before the great tribualtion. Accepting Christ guarantee's you eternal life if you don't depart from Him. Everyone who says there a christian will not go up in the rapture. Only those that Fear & reverance God, faithful to Him, those practicing walking in righteousness and living His word, those Sharing the gospel of Christ with others, those who have a realtionship with Him, and is Obedient to His will for their lives(laying down their own lives for His will) . That remant will be the ones that will go up in the rapture. Those christians left behind will have to die during the tribualtion..when life and death is put before you it will show whether or not if a person is willing to die for Him when placed in that situation. The great tribualtion is a sifting process, sifting out those who "say" they would die for Christ vs those who actually will give up their Life for Him.

Matthew gospel said Jesus said this. Paul said it and the Last book, the Revelation also has mention of it. Only the timing remains a controversy. Some say it will take place after the tribulations while others that will happen before the tribulations. Anyway, whichever way, rapture will take place. I prefer to be taken up before the tribulations to avoid the encounter with the antichrist and his demand that 666 be marked on one's forehead or right hand.

I thought only Evangelical believe this rapture thing and are trying to expedite it by forcing God so Jesus can be brought down earlier than planned. Here is a good chance for entrepreneurs to start selling tickets for the best seats because it may be a long journey.
Since every human being is suppose to die once, where are those people going to die die first before resurrection who believe him as savior and are taken up?

That's what God said is going to happen and I believe Him.

1 Thess 4:13-18
14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Absolutely Not. I used to,m but then I grew up and realized it was simply a way to keep us on our toes, to leave us always wondering if it would be today? So we would be good Christians 24/7.

Personally I still consider myself a Christian, but I now think organized religion in general, is a bunch of self serving, human dictated, controlling B.S.

You will find at the end of life, a person standing in judgment, and that will be yourself, so you decide. God, Jesus all of it are just ideals, to make us want to be better, I do not believe they are actual entities, but meant to be more like a compass to live by.

I think we all just need a "daddy", and that makes us feel secure, so it is only logical that we created a faith around that same belief system.

Problem is, zealots and idiots get lost in that way of thinking. Then they spend all day on Yahoo Answers.

Good luck on your journey of self discovery.

Amen! Yes Ephesians 2:8 says "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and its not of yourselves but it is the gift of God"

The "saints" of God, the "sheep" of His pasture as the Bible calls those who are believers in Jesus Christ--will be raptured, taken up to meet Him in the clouds when He returns, as it says in:
1 Thessalonians 4:17
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

-But nobody knows that day or hour, just as Jesus tells us in the gospels- however we look forward to it, and watch the times of this age, for there are signs....and the prophecies of the Bible prove true!

I believe that just accepting Jesus as Our Savior is not enough, a true attempt at living a Christ like life is required.

Yes, that's what the Bible teaches, and it is a big part of my Christian faith, especially since the times we are living in now may well be the end times.

For those who ask. The word Rapture is not in the bible but is a Latin word meaning "caught up" I Thessalonians 4:17
