I think the price varies. If you have new pups, you might want to look into the wellness plan at Banfield Animal Hospitals (inside the PetSmarts). If you already have a vet you like, than probably not worth changing.
Basically its an annual fee of around $99, and then about $19/month that covers all of your vaccinations and office visits, you also get 10% off all medications. When you do this, the spay/nueter is included, so at the end of the year, you definitely save some $$.

In my area (Midwest) it costs about $75 to neuter a small dog and about $100 to spay a small dog. If you need help with the costs many local shelters offer low cost spay/neuter programs.

Spay costs more because it is internal surgery, but neither should be over $150 or $200. Maybe you could get 2 for 1 deal?

Depends on where you live and if you work out a deal with the SPCA they can do it at a discount.
But expect somewhere 300-400 dollars. It's a very expensive procedure and more expensive for a female than a male.
Good luck!

It all depends on where you live BUT...it's usually anywhere from $55 to $120...
Check your local Humane Society; They usually offer discounts(that you can take to a participating vet in your area). Ours offers up to 70% off!

In most states if you qualify as low income, you can have it paid for, or if you go to a humane society.or animal shelter they will give you financial assistance..
But otherwise all vets charge different rates
they basic costs will be for
the lipid panels (blood test)
Anesthesia
Vet Time/Labor
and The Suturing(stitches/staples)
and overnight stay

We paid 100 dollars and it was worth every penny. She (the dog) is healed and can't even see the incision.
