For unity to exist among all religions faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to the Father would have to be laid aside for a concept that allowed all people to unite in the belief that he is not the only way but that there are many ways to God.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
How we respond to the message that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life is the measure of our heart toward God. There is no one who can't be found in the verse that follows.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
We are all there, before he calls us to repentance. No one seeks the light on their own. Why should they? Why do we do and think things in secret to begin with? No one ever came to the light on their own but God called them. So the truth in the following verse gives all honor and glory to the one who alone deserves it.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Unity and agreement regarding basic religious principles common to all religions, like "treat others as you would want to be treated" "refrain from the use of force" needs to become a reality rather than just a good idea.
Our future world , civilization.....depends on it.
Unless you want a future of slavery.
The spirituality of man, your own basic spiritual nature, self respect and peace of mind is what is at stake.

Religions that insist they are the One True Way can't get along by definition. Christianity and Islam fit into that category.
Religions that insist that there is No One True Way can get along with each other, but not with the aforementioned category. Pagans, Wiccans, Agnostics fit there.
