All the money the world spends on preventing Islamic terror or fighting in Islamic wars, well into the trillions. All the countries impoverished by backward Islamic beliefs. 1.6 billion people prevented from contributing to the world, and instead, being the worlds greatest burden.

If Islam didnt exist, we would all be living to 200 right now. World hunger and most disease would all be cured.

Man, it just sucks that Islam exists. No way any "God" would allow such insanity to persist.

There is no God Im afraid....

Well, selfish? No, may be not. Ignorant, Yes!

You can't blame problems you can't face, on others. But I have seen that happen often. But this is the first time I am seeing someone blame it on a concept, something that is a figment of our imagination. I am not here to discuss whether religions are true or not, but it can be said without doubt, that man needed to have religion in order to not feel alone and have some reason to explain the unexplainable. Religion is meditation.

You couldn't be more wrong about the 'impoverished by backward Islamic beliefs'. The emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi are not impoverished (or all of UAE for that matter), yet they have an Islamic establishment. If you're going to reason with the fact that they have oil, then think again. Iraq's got oil, and where is it heading?

You're also wrong about them not contributing to the world. If you had studied history, you would know what good came from all the Islamic Empires. From little things to bigger and better, from coffee to Algebra, Arithmetic, from Ibn Sina and Ibn Rushd who were venerated as intellectual luminaries, or Avicenna and Averroes as their names were later latinized in Europe.

This is the "War on Terrorism".

Terrorism is not religion specific. Christianity has extremists that do abortion bombings, which is terrorism. Do not single out a religion by being biased.

Terrorism doesn't have to be associated with religion. Psychological warfare is by definition terrorism. The media broadcasts incoming attacks that never happen etc.. An example would be the "Hightened Terror Alert System". This is psychological warfare.

The War on Terrorism is impossible to win, this is why it was created. It is a guise for imperialism.

Yes, you are selfish. The reason you are selfish is because you are manipulated 24/7. In essence everyone is. Through gas, media, etc.

Bush says "Islamo fascists", obviously he isn't baised. /sarcasm

Anyways, a more suitable title for the War on Terrorism would be the "War on our Minds". So far we are losing.

What a load of cr*p.

First of not all Muslims live in war torn countries. There are plenty of Muslim western born and raised. How are Muslims stopping people from contributing to the world? What a crock. Dubai? Impoverished? I don't think so. Algeria? Impoverished? I don't think so. Tunisia? Impoverished? I don't think so. I'm a Muslim i contribute to the world. I am a working professional, i pay my tax's. My husband is a journalist and pays tax's, we are both law abiding citizens, pay in charity. In what way are we not contributing?

Who are we a burden too. There are plenty of people in my country on welfare benefits, who get there rent and council tax paid for by tax payer. Spend all there welfare money on cigarettes and alcohol and are not Muslims. But they are not a burden? Get some perspective sunshine.

World hunger has nothing to do with Islam. How did you work that little gem out. Bush just said he would be putting billions into sending soldiers to Afghanistan. I'm sure governments all over the world have more than enough money to end world hunger if they really wanted to. How come Muslims get the blame.
Yeah people queuing in the streets of Moscow for bread, that's Muslims fault?

Get a life and try to raise your IQ level about -42 why don't you....

May the Peace, Blessings and Mercy of God be Upon you,

I wish as well that terrorists and fanatics didn't exist. There will always be criminals. God will judge them for their crimes.

Why do wish my religion did not exist, the religion which Abraham the monotheist followed? If followed properly you can reached such a level of enlightenment, one that allows with all true sincerity and honesty, that I am in the presence of God. Islam and Sunnah followed properly, not deviant sects which were already foretold by the Prophet peace be upon him, himself.

[006:159] Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him) have no concern with them in the least. Their affair is only with God, Who then will tell them what they used to do.

V.6:159) It is said that the Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him] recited this Verse and said: "These people are those who invent new things (Bid'ah) in religion and the followers of the vain desires of this Muslim nation, and their repentance will not be accepted by God." (Tafsir Al-Qurtubi)

[It has been narrated in the Hadîth Books (At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Mâjah and Abu Dâwûd) that the Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him] said: "The Jews and the Christians will be divided into seventy-one or seventy-two religious sects and this nation will be divided into seventy-three religious sects, all in Hell, except one, and that one is: on which I and my Companions are today, i.e. following the Qur'ân and the Prophet's Sunnah (legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements)."]

God-Consciousness in our society is diminishing do you not feel that this will have many social, moral, and ethical effects.

Please the enemies of Islam are THE TERRORISTS AND FANATICS, they are nothing but murders and trying to use religion as an excuse.

Please read this webpage, as an Islamic Scholar of Jurisprudence explains why Terrorism and Suicide Bombing are not part of Islam. He refutes the claims of the DEVIANT Al-Qaeda supporting sects.

yes it's selfish
if u don't like this religion no one forced u to believe in it .
and don't say that it suck that islam exists because there is people -like me- very happy that it does exist.

and u forgot that there r rich countries in Islamic world that help these poor countries.

also,u forgot that there r poor countries which r not Islamic countries that means that neediness will exists in the world without Islam

and remember that the media in western countries do not show the true Islam and these wars and terrorism do not belong 2 Islam.

well i'm agnostic and in a way i wish there were no religions at all if people were to put forth more of their time effort and money into doing useful things such as finding a cure for cancer and aids and other sicknesses and into education and books and other school supplies that the children desperately need to learn things and into homes for the homeless and food for the homeless then the world would be a much better place as there would be no homeless or hungry people and there would be alot more healthier and better educated people in the world instead of there being some fancy buildings for religions and whatnot now that would be way more productive in my mind anyway

It's not a matter of Islam. Before Islam there was wars that killed a lot of people, there was poverty, there was people whose Job is nothing but trying to keep others behind. It is human nature and has nothing to do with Islam.Muslims' lands have the richest resources but they can't use it because of others interference on their affairs. It's not something good for any person to hate the other and wishehim death just because he is a Muslim, a christian,or a Jew. we were created to worship Allah not to hate each other, let Allah be the judge.

Are you really wishing for Islam to be gone, or do you want Islam as the media and government makes it to be gone? It is really unfortunate that non-Muslims have to see it through they eyes of reporters on television. Trust me; If I weren't Muslim, I wouldn't like it either - what I've seen of it makes it look gross and disgusting. On the other hand, what I myself have learned has shown me a completely different side.

Islam itself promotes science and learning, in all subjects including science, but also English, art, math, etc.

You say world hunger would be cured.. while Islam promotes giving to the poor/giving charity - infact, it is one of the five pillars. Islam itself isn't what's so bad. It's the fact that people have twisted what it is.

I hope, even if you don't agree with the actual aspects of the religion, you can atleast see that it's message is not to hurt anyone. :)

You my friend are perpetuating hate with your question.
It's attitudes like yours which ensure man will war against himself for the years to come.

Truly I don't think it's ever occured to you that third world countries have a gripe against what they view as western imperialism.

That many nations lump the actions of England, France, Germany, Russia, and the USA together. That feels those nations form military and economic alliances to supress other nations so that they may exploit natural resources and cheap labor from them.

That's the catalyst ... Next their soldiers and militants are whipped into a fighting fervor by ignorant retoric which mirrors the ingnorant retoric you are spewing unto us all right now.

Soldiers fight, writers write, preachers preach.
That's mankind.
Welcome to the universe.
