I am not proud; I do not judge others, or condemn others, I don't protest, or force my beliefs on anyone. I focus on God and try to please him by forgiving, forgetting, leading by example, turn the other cheek, by being loving, understanding, kind, nurturing, and charitable. Is there something wrong with believing in God?

Nothing at all. In fact I wish more "believers" here had your kind of attitude.

All those things seem quite admirable to me, though I don't think that an ordinary pride in one's achievements is a bad thing, only an excessive pride (hubris) that makes one forget that the world doesn't revolve around just one person. I think there are times when condemning others, protesting, and not turning the other cheek are called for--in order for justice to be carried out. With those caveats, all the rest seems to describe a very fine, upstanding individual.

Isn't your question hypocritical. Surely if you truly understood people the way you claim to, you would know that there is no right or wrong answer to this question (although individuals might have a personal preference). Some people will say that belief in God is essential, some will say it is pointless. You just have to understand where these people are coming from, respect their oppinions (to a tolerable degree :), and get on with doing whatever you think is right yourself.

Of course not! There are some people unlike you who say things like, if you don't believe in god you are going to hell, you are bad, you are stupid. You should be PROUD to stick to what you believe and don't give in to pressure. Just, some people have different beliefs. Don't ever try talking someone into being Christian, because they may just not want to and that is THEIR dissicion not yours.

Are you sure you don't force your beliefs on others? Do you vote for a politician based on their faith? What about issues? Do you reason your way through important issues and consider all the people involved, or do you vote the way your religion dictates?
