I modify the recipe a little b/c I do not like tomato paste and I like the seasonings diluted. I get a pack of the sloppy Joe seasonings (McCormick's is better than off brand), chop and saute an onion in a little olive oil. I know there is onion in the powder mix, but I like adding some. Then add the mix. Then add 2-2.5 lb of lean ground meat, break it into pieces as you put it in the pot. Cook for 20-40 minutes. Ground meat should always be well done. And add a can of Muir Glen low salt organic tomato sauce. I cook it on med heat. I had this for dinner last night with some good French bread. This amount makes dinner for 6-8 people.

personally, I get a big can of Manwich brand sloppy joe sauce, mix with ground beef and slap it on some buns. It tastes good and is quick.

Cook 1 lb. lean ground beef or ground turkey, and add a can of Manwich. It's really good and easy. Serve on hamburg rolls. Looks like some good homemade recipes here too tho. Gonna have to try some of them one day.

depend if you want homemade or if you want quick and easy, if quick and easy, buy a package of sloppy jo mix in the spice isle in your grocery store and follow the directions, if you want homemade then after the hamburger is browned add, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, whoreshiresauce, and season to your taste..

I brown my hamburger, add onions, peppers, salt and pepper. Then I add brown sugar and ketchup. Keep adding both until you get the right sweet taste you want. Its quick, simple and good.
