It depends on when windows is telling you that your copy isn't genuine. If it's when you try to activate it then you can get around that by using an activation crack to activate it yourself. You can find an activation crack for it easily enough if you look around on the internet for a bit. If it is telling you that you're copy isn't genuine when you try to download updates from the windows update website then it isn't worth your time to try and pass yours off as a genuine copy. Get your security updates from http://www.autopatcher.com/ or http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/ if Microsoft has decided that you don't deserve to have an up to date OS. On the off chance that your copy is actually genuine and you did happen to pay for it then I suppose you could try and talk with Microsoft customer service but it'd probably be faster just to use an activation crack and get your updates from one of the websites that I gave. Act on this information whatever way you see fit I'm not suggesting that you take any illegal actions.

Umm. Buy a genuine copy and install it?

If you can register the copy with Microsoft by phone, the message should go away. If you have a legal copy, I would just call Microsoft and ask their support group to help you.

You got busted. It won't be long now before you get a subpoena in the mail for your arrest. Piracy is a big crime these days.
