What do you many how many days if caught speeding would you be notified by the police? On your speeding ticket you should have a date to call the court by and the telephone number to call. You call that number and tell the court clerk if you want a trial date or if you want to take defensive driving for your ticket, you are requesting deferred adjudication for the ticket, etc.for example.

they have 14 days fom date of offence to send you the notice of intended prosecution. that simply asks you who the driver was at the time of offence and for you to reply within 28 days if it was you then you put your driver details on it etc and you will hear back from them if they intend to give you points and a fine ect

....but as with me i was caught speeding in a hire car, they sent the n.i.p to the hire company who fwd my details, they then have 6 months from the date of offence to prosecute me ! i had the notice through 2 months after to the date of offence and i tired to use the excuse you did'nt notify me within 14days but it didnt work and was told as a seriving police officer i should of known better !!! bummer

If you live in Indiana, your copy of the ticket could be considered notification.
If you dont hear anything within the time frame that the other poster quoted, please contact the courts and make sure you are aware of the court date.
If you fail to show, they might issue a bench warrant for your arrest and revoke your license.
