Christians and Mormons are VERY different.
MANY differences, so please do not say the two are the same. They're not.

Main line Christians and Mormons have many things in common but the division comes when one considers the book of Mormon which was supposedly found by Joseph Smith near Elmira, New York.Mormons considrer Smith to be THE Prophet much as the followers of Islam consider Muhamed to be and both consider Jesus to be secondary.I,personally, would not consider Mormons to befull blown Christians. They have the apperance of... That is my oppinion

Good question I believe some Mormons are christians and some arent. Mormons initially only teachh the bible and the book of Mormon they do not contradict each. The problem occurs in the other books ,mormonism states they are the inherent word of God. These book go aginst the bible and the person of Christ. If they believe this is who Jesus is. He is not the Jesus of the Bilbe and will they will not go to heavan.

They seem to think so, but I don't think they are just based on the fact that they lean more toward the book of Mormon than to the bible

Only in the bad sense of the word.

These people beleive that Jesus Christ came to America. A man was shown some secret gold tablets that he translated into the Book of Mormon (obviously a lie). When this religion first started out they practiced polygamy (men having multiple wives). Now a lot of them live in Utah. There is a temple in Salt Lake City, and most people around there look like Hitler's ideal dream - a bunch of white people with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The Mormons send their youth out around their city and around the world to spread the word of their religion. In Japan they stand out like a sore thumb. They don't blend in with the culture at all because they beleive that the culture is wrong. Instead of riding a normal bike, they purchase mountain bikes and wear standardized helmets with these. They wear white dress shirts with tags on them saying "Elder", yet they're mostly in their 20's.

The real question is who is Jesus to them.

Is he the creator of the heavens AND the earth, do they recieve their exaltation soley because of his righteousness...

Or is Jesus just a creation, a God that started out as a man.
Whos Father has a father, who has a father, who has a father...etc.Did God have sex with Mary to get her pregnant? The spirit brother of Satan and do they believe they can in time equal or surpass the greatness of Jesus.

Many of them are wonderful people, they just have a terminal doctrinal disease which they have bought into.

They need to get to know the true God, the one which no other came before or after him as Isaiah states. Not a council of Gods.

If you follow a false prophet, you will recieve the reward of a false prophet.
Much more to add, but this will suffice for now.

no, the one main difference is they believe in the book of mormon which they believe is an addition to the bible. Although in revalations it clearly states anyone who adds to or takes away from the bible has there name taken from th lambs book of life, so that means they are not christians. But they think they are sadly, and this meansthey will not spend eternity withjesus Christ in heaven.

N O .

They have made a god to suit themselves. They do not believe what the Bible says- even though they claim they do- look at their beliefs clearly, and you will see it does NOT line up with scripture, and I am not just speaking of things that are not relevant to salvation- but I am speaking OF salvation! They say they believe in Jesus, but the Jesus they believe in they think is the brother of satan. So therefore it is the wrong god. They rely on the book of mormon, not the holy bible- there are other things they believe and have added to God's word, which God forbids we do- in Proverbs and at the end of Revelation, it says not to add to that book- yet they have added many false beliefs to that book.
