I give anesthesia for a plastic surgeon, and we get all types of patients.

We do a lot of breast augs, and the ages range from early 20's to 50's and 60's for that. The young ones get them to be bigger, and the older ones get them to restore what they once had.

Abdominoplasties are popular with the 30-60 year olds, especially those who have lost a lot of weight, mostly women.

Face lifts, neck lifts and brow lifts are done on men and women in the 40's - 40's usually.

Both genders get blepharoplasties, and those are usually in older people (50-60) but sometimes in people in their 30's.

Rare: otoplasties, scar revisions, or excisions of lesions in young children (1-5 yrs old)

We do a little bit of reconstructive stuff, but not much where I work.

Hope that helps!

Everyone can get plastic surgery. It doesnt matter your age. I would say breast enlargement and breast reductions are very common. This could be for personal reasons or possibly for medical reasons such as breast cancer. I would say that most often these occur during the ages of 30 - 55.

Keep in mind that *not* all plastic surgery is cosmetic!

Repairs of cleft palates in babies, facial reconstructions in burn patients, scar revisions of car accident victims, etc. are all plastics procedures. TV and the media tend to hype the glamorous and ignore the rest of the actual story.

When you say plastic surgery, do you mean plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery? Big difference there. plastic surgery often accompanies other surgeries for patients getting reconstructive surgeries after major ops (cancer, massive bodily trauma, etc)

as for cosmetic surgery, that would be people who are dissatisfied with their appearance, or just vain.
