Not sure why this is in cooking area, but by chance, I do have thick wavy hair. My favorite thing to do with my hair is after washing, towel dry as best I can. Blow dry if I am in a hurry until my hair is ALMOST dry. Then roll it into a french twist (make a ponytail and roll it up under itselt) and pin it until it is dry or almost all the way dry. This makes my crazy hair smooth and straight with enough body to still look nice.

Hey...you are lucky. After I sampoo and condition mine I slick my locks with a moderate amount of hair gel. I sit on my bed or a chair...flip my head over...and blow dry using my free hand to scrunch and keep the direct heat of the wave/curl. When ur dry flip back over and shake. lol Your hair will look fab honey. Enjoy the fact that you have texture and body.
