This is a tricky question. The actual amount of methane gas produced by cows is less than that of human CO2 pollution. However each molecule of methane gas has 21 times the global warming potential than a molecule of CO2, so while there is more CO2 production, the methane does contribute more to global warming.

Also, as a side note, 95% of a cows methane emissions are produced by burping up the gas rather than from flatulence.

Cattle do create a good chunk of methane, but humans out produce cattle. Man has all their garbage pits that release methane. Another place is in hydro dams. Water in the resviours covers plant life that is decomposing and creates methane that is released through the turbine found that out while doing a report on hydro dams. These two examples alone produce large amounts of methane. Although it is possible for cattle to produce more if more cattle are bred and the population rises. But at current population levels Man produces more than Cattle

HOpe that helps

Absolutely not! One of many myth's created by experts under the pay of corporations given the order to create myths so the company can continue to pollute.

In fact, because there are so many people on Earth, the breathing of humans does more polluting than that from cows.

Cows hardly produce enough methane gas to be accountable. I am baffled by the amount of people that have fallen into this trap.

This is not science but guess work . Methane is a very light gas so when it is released it goes up ,and up. How could someone measure it? It is not there as we have fired several missiles through where it should be and it did not explode . where did it go?if it is not there and want explode what more do u need ,it is not there.

NO. Comparing cow's farting to human pollution would be like comparing a firecracker to a hydrogen bomb!
