it took me a while, to get limewire, to, but now i have it. i could never find any of the songs i wanted, so i finally chose to download it. it's great!!.. every song u could want. it's not illegal if u agree to "not use it for copyright infingement", lol. when u go to dowlnoad it, it ask you if u will or will not use it for copyright infringment. if your still nervous about gettin it, either have a friend who has limewire get the songs for you, or try an mp3 sight, such as mp3000.net seekasong.com or emp3world.com . the good thing about limewire is it's fast, it's only 22mb (exept you have to have java to make it work , but don't worry if u don't have java, when u download lime wire and install it it installs java as well.)

The program itself is perfectly legal, and, is in fact, a very powerful and useful program. Using it to download copywrited music from other users, however, is a bit of a grey area. If you are going to use it, make sure to change the default setting on the tools menu to not share any of your folders. Also, disconnect the program from the internet (file/disconnect) after you have finished getting what you want.

It's prefectly legal as long as you don't share any proprietary items (such as software or music).

"Proprietary" indicates that a party, or proprietor, exercises private ownership, control or use over an item of property, usually to the exclusion of other parties.
