why does god require anything?

God doesn't require servants. it doesnt say that any where in scripture.
What He wants is sons and daughters that He can pour His blessings out on.

Every ruler needs servants. God reveals his secrets to His servants so that they can help others in their service to Him and help those who have a desire to know Him.

We are servants of God in order to care for the earth as instructed. It started with the first two caretakers, Adam and Eve. If we follow God's commandments and instructions, we will live in obediance. If we live in obediance, we will be blessed with many joys.
