Dude, 8 grand in cash should get you into a nice German car! If you want to be special: THAT is special. A Golf, Jetta, or maybe even a 3 Series!

What type of teen doesn't want there car to look amazing!! Go with a Honda civic, accord or Acura integra. They might be small but you can build on em and maybe if kept in good condition make that 8 grand back when selling it. Think towards the future. Grand Am are cheap and Buick are like boats. Buy an investment. Buy a Honda. This is just my opinion!

Go with the Grand Am, the Regal will look too much like its your parents car, and chicks dig Pontiacs.

When I was a spoiled rotten teenager my parents bought me a Pontiac Sunfire. That little thing kicked *** until someone ran their red light and smashed into it this summer. It was 10 years old. I don't know about the Grand Am but in my personal experience Pontiac makes a pretty good car.

What you should ask your self is; what's this going to fee you interior the right? you're searching at a $2400 fix for a first rate motor vehicle with in effortless words 80,000 and relativly more moderen type. after it truly is done it is going to probable be high-quality and pushed without problem for a at the same time as until eventually you're searching extra to be incorrect. regardless of in case you offered it as is, you should get at maximum $2000 for the motor vehicle. so in case you're taking the 2400 and 2000 you've 4400 to spend on a clean used motor vehicle. A $4400 motor vehicle isn't the in simple terms proper interior the international. you're searching at paying for a older type, ninety 8 or older, with higher mileage. as that stands, you're searching at issues even quicker again consisting of your new used motor vehicle, and for this reason going to ought to spend extra money fixing that, because you'll by no skill purchase a used motor vehicle with no need to restore something. So, i ought to assert restore the motor vehicle on your 2400, and be finished with funds. that is the suitable aspect, no extra funds. so, searching on what your month-to-month charge replaced into, you should nonetheless be saving extra money by technique of repairing it. ask your self how a lot have you ever saved because the funds were finished, does it outweigh what the upkeep will be? in simple terms what i imagine should be finished.

Depending on where you live and how much you are willing to do to have a good reliable vehicle; I have bought cars many ways and the only way I have ever truly enjoyed it was when I bought a private sale that I had researched and restored to driveable (safety) conditions. Be aware and bring and uncle or father figure or friend who understands what to look for as problems (rust, brake and transmission lines, shocks, engine turns over freely etc.). A good sleeper can be bought cheap, with low-ish mileage, and doesn't need $1000 of work to be roadworthy. Be careful and aware, your own excitement can be your worst enemy. Who knows maybe you save some of that 8G's for a future purchase.

They're both good cars.
The Regal is a little bigger as I remember.
If both have the same miles and are in good condition, it would come down to personal preference.

Don't buy American, the quality of the cars have gotten better, but American cars lose their value too fast. If you want something sporty, buy a used Integra. The car is indestructible and will still have some resale value when you're done with it.

It depends....The Grand Am is more sporty and has a more rough feel to it. The Regal is more of a comfort feel if I remember correctly.
