We are increasingly beginning to use biomass as a renewable energy. I've seen several recent studies on the use of different sort of structures of biomass to gain the greatest amount of BTUs. In the US one of the main concerns is the cost effectiveness of transporting biomass, it is generally difficult for a company to make a profit on it if the market doesn't support it. Another issue is the ability to do it in a sustainable manner. This is a problem in some other countries where it is a very common source of energy.

biomass hardly comes without other foms of waste that can be harmful either during cumbustion or decomposition which is the main way of tapping energy from biomass. reliaility factor is very low to me as the process of decomposition can be tediously slow compared to the energy demand. for instance the waste generated by a household cannot support thier energy need if they have to depend on it for energy, whatsmore the volume of space required for the storage of such mass of waste for the period of decay is too much coupled with the attendant isk of epidemics if ot properly managed. of cause the efficiency of the biomass system is dependent on the micro organisms that breakdown the wastes to release the desired gases for the generation of electricity. on the whole, i think the process is equally very expensive.

We have. Where have you been? Ethanol is biomass fuel. So is fire wood.

If your question is why don't we use it more, it is just a numbers game. The amount needed is larger than we can produce ecconomically compared to oceans of cheap oil. That will change when the oil runs out.

i think of government "privatizing" of the U. S. protection stress, and extensive Pentagon value over-runs and losses on contracts to companies like Kellogg Brown & Root and the mercenary business corporation previously commonplace as Blackwater, are plenty greater a snort as sorts of government corruption. So I do help real "green power" progression as an environmentalist, and and that i'm frankly proud to work out renewable power exchange right into a source of classic American beef barrel politics and government value overruns. i think of that this shows that the environmental flow is turning out to be up, studying the way the international relatively works. yet i've got faith that pointless street shape -- and STRIP MINING OF finished MOUNTAINS, and the extensive protection stress value overruns that Republicans choose are nonetheless plenty greater efficient in terms of entertainment value. And IMO, purely approximately no longer something compares to the superb political sleaze that's traditionally been linked with the oil & gasoline marketplace, fantastically interior the yankee South. "Solyndra" is positive, as scandals bypass. yet whilst will the fairway communities have the skill to boast of their very own Teapot Dome Scandal? whilst will some image voltaic power developer have the skill to gloat that he's monopolized purely approximately an entire American power sector, the way that John D. Rockefeller did for various years working with usually happening Oil? whilst can we see relatively super international scams regarding image voltaic power, like the CIA's toppling of a democratically elected government in Iran in 1953 on behalf of the biggest oil companies? till "green power" scams attain that international classification status, i think of, we purely ought to stand the undeniable fact that sustainable and renewable power components purely have not caught up with petroleum.
