Some where from 500$ to 1000$, depends on if it is bred for running, showing or companion ship, There are so many retired grey hounds that people buy just for running and then when they have no use for them they give them to shelters or kill them,i actually read this story about a guy who took in greyhounds that no longer raced and killed them, for MONEY=( You should seriously consider buying one from a shelter cause i heard they retire at 2-3 years and greyhounds have way more potential then just a short lived car! They are great dogs and remember shelter dogs usually know they are being givin a second chance and love you all the more for it=)

Probably a thousand dollars or so. I don't know that many people that get them as puppies since there are so many that need homes from the race tracks. These dogs that are rescued from the tracks are EXCELLENT pets. I would suggest you look into your local Greyhound rescue by searching on the internet.

A lot, because they are a dog with a specialized use. What you should go is look into greyhounds which have been 'retired' from the track - they need homes! They can be adopted through greyhound rescue socities.

Whippets are $500 - 700 for a pet, I would bet thayt GHs are pretty close to that, ESPECIALLY if you are a good home for one.
Go to some dog shows and field trials (asfa.org) to meet breeders.

each breeder will have a diff. price but have u considered adopting an ex race dog b/c if they arent adopted they get put to sleep....
