I buy Purina One for Sensitive Systems cat food and feed little amounts at a time and my cat still vomits after eating. I havent tried talking to a vet yet but I was just curious if anyone else has had this problem and what you suggest or what your vet suggested.

Hi there again Bree...cats can vomit as a result of various possibilities such as intestinal parasites, food allergies to foods which contain the ingredient corn and byproducts, sudden switch to a new food diet, eating too fast (gorging), feline disorders/diseases, etc. It's difficult to sometimes determine the actual culprit until a cat can be physically evaluated by a veterinarian.

It depends on how long this is going on for. If it lasts for just a couple of days, it could be a flu bug (yes, cats can get the flu). I just took my cat in for something very similar, and he had an infection in his liver. They think he got into something toxic and his body was rejecting everything that went in it. He was hospitalized for 5 days, and has to be on med for a month. The vet was happy I didn't wait longer. So don't wait to take your cat to the vet. I could be getting worse by the second.

well i'll put it simple. your cat is eating to much! this happens to my cats sometimes too. try putting less food in her bowl. then she can't over eat. because when a cat over eats just like us they gotta get rid of it some how? if this doesn't work try switching to another brand of cat food. some brands just aren't right for your cat. something in purina cat food might make be making your cat sick. keep trying to find the right food for your cats stomache!there are lots out there!

Sometimes certain brands don't suite some cats. Try switching brands. Or give it some other sort of food. Like tuna or boiled chicken or something. If it still keeps throwing up, then there is something wrong and you need to take it to the Vet.

I would take your cat to the vest asap. If it throws up after eating its not getting any nurishment... My cat did this for a while, and the vet had a switch to a different food. Best of luck to you.
