C'mon Jibba Jabba. If you order a pizza with everything on it, do you get mad because it doesn't dome with the moon?

What a great point! That is exactly why we, as Mormons, believe in modern day revelation. Celestial marriage wasn't talked about too much or very understandable in the bible and Joseph Smith wanted to know about marriage - if it lasted forever, if family lasted forever...lots of things. That is why we have modern day prophets - to speak for the Lord and let us know his will.
Also, try to remember that religion is based on faith. The bible is not a science book. Science can explain you questions about flowers..and the moon...well, it was created at some point, that is where faith comes in.
Good luck.

The Bible says (in gospel John) that if everything that Jesus did was recorded in it, it would fill every book in the entire world and even that would not be enouph.
Read the creation story in Genesis chapter one to find out about the moon and the flowers. Just trust all creation came from God: His spoken command.
Flowers are all different colors because that is beautiful and God loves beauty. He created things to be beautiful. He LOVES you and wants more for you then you could possibly imagine! That's in the Bible too.

This is the best info that I can supply you with for your question.
14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
As far as pink and yellow flowers, I don't remember the Bible ever getting that specific on colors. Do you need to know this?

The bible is 1% God, 24% you, 25% contridictions, 25% Paganism, and 25% Idolizing.
Basically, it gives the concept of god, it only makes sense to the individual reading, it contridicats itself all the time, it has many concepts stolen from Paganism, and it Idolizes Jesus etc..
To a Christian that would mean it is 99% blasphemy.
Edit: I've read the bible. Some of the bible teaches are also Paganism teachings. Also, Paganism was alive before Christianity. This means the bible was strung together to acquire the church power and to get rid of Paganism. The church is considered organized religion which organized religion is also idolizing. This is why you are not suppose to idolize, because it gives power to the churches and they are able to twist and warp your mind.
Jesus wasn't exactly made up because some of his philosophy made sense and doesn't support the church. His teachings were meant to protect people like you to prevent the corrupt from controlling your belief. Anyways, as long as people go to church they will be used.

Are you kidding? Yes, clearly. Everything that's in there is true. That doesn't mean everything that's true is in there. Duh.
Who's "trying to sell you on the factual truth of the bible?"
Believe it or don't. Your choice.
Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must first believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Religion requires faith not fact. Argue that.
If I find out I'm wrong about my belief in the Bible once I die, what have I lost? But if you find out YOU'RE wrong once you die...

If the Bible is 100% truth why are some things in it just so ridiculous?
How many men do you think you could kill with the jawbone of a donkey before the jawbone breaks?

It is a choice to believe by faith and if you don't, that is your choice.Furthermore, would you know the truth if it was staring you in the face...hmmm..P.S. God created the heavens and the earth and everything that dwells therein, including YOU, so why don't you try reading the bible and stop trippin.

There is so much stated in it now that we Christians read it and read it and read it and still come up with new findings.
God created the moon. Greater light to rule the day. Lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. Genesis 1:16
The wonderful thing is - I am not lost and Jesus is coming soon. Get ready to meet your Creator.
