go to academy and get the tippmann 98 custom marker.. that'll be a great gun to start w/.. plus upgrades are easy.. buy the 20 or 24 oz CO2 bottle.. don't fool w/ a 9ozer.. and buy good paintballs.. practice shooting while running.. and practice sniping.. if you have a little bro dress him up good so you don't hurt him and show that it won't hurt and give him a mask and go practice hunting him.. or a good girlfriend or a good best friend.. y'all can practice together..

Depends on if you are going to use your gun for "Woodsball" or "Speedball". If you are going to use it for "Woodsball", which is basically playing paintball in a field or wooded area, I suggest purchasing a Tippmann 98 Custom. It is a reliable starter gun that can be customized and upgraded.

I started w/ a tippman 98 and it was ok.but when u switch to a better and faster gun, its takes awhile to adjust. A spyder vs2 or ACS would be good.

Most shops rent markers. Try renting several different brands and styles until you find one you like. Ask the other players about their markers during breaks between games, and what they would recommend to get or to avoid.
