He put a hole in it.

Wynn owns an impressive art collection, which has at various times been on display to the public in his casinos. It includes paintings by Picasso, Vermeer, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Warhol, and Matisse. Most recently he spent a record price for a painting by J. M. W. Turner -- $35.8 million for Turner's Giudecca, La Donna Della Salute and San Giorgio. It was revealed in October 2006 that Wynn had recently damaged "Le Rêve", a Picasso painting he paid $48.4 million for, by accidentally poking a two-inch hole through it with his elbow. This happened after he had agreed to sell the piece to art collector Steven Cohen for $139 million. His response to the incident, as reported by Nora Ephron, was "Oh, ****, look what I've done. Thank goodness it was me." The deal was canceled, and now Wynn plans on restoring "Le Reve"

He was trying to transfer the painting to the buyer and lost his grip and his elbow poked a hole in the would-be $139 Million painting.

OK...lets stop the rumor mill...the art collector has a nervous disorder and the incident was truly accidental. all kinds of stories have been flying about the man....how about having sympathy for him and realize the man suffered a great loss for a small minor accident. he did put his elbow through it but it was a tradgedy he regrets and tried to laugh off without drawing any attention to his illness.

He has bad eyesight. He is known to gesture wildly and put his elbow thru the painting. Not the slickest move. It cost him $150 million dollars and I hope it can be repaired. He can afford it.
