Try going to walgreens and buying the pre-paid green dot visa card, that way you can use it as a credit card online without haveing to apply for an actual credit card or open a checking account. No sensible companys do CODs.

Paypal. You can use this if you don't have a debit or credit card. It takes a day or so for your account to become active, but you can go to www.paypal.com and sign up. Follow the instructions for setting up an account and when all is done, you can transfer money from your bank account to your paypal account. If you don't have a bank account, you can always send money orders to paypal and they credit your account as well.

COD always costs a lot more.
a lot more.
it's not worth it to go COD.
consider doing a money order or postal money order
instead of paying by credit card or COD.
many legit sellers will take money orders.

It's really easy to get a checking account and get a debit card to access it.

If you're having trouble doing this, you might have trouble buying on credit, too.
