Im in middle school my sister is in high school. My parents told us we could decide how to have our basment done. I would love ideas of stuff to put down there and places to find cool furniture. Ideas for theems would be great to. Thanks!

First you'll want to think about your parents, as a parent I like:
Comfort
Less Expesive Items
Nice Rich Colors
Thus I would think the following things might help you out:
Get fluffy pillows & furniture that is comfortable, you'll like this too!
Get a TV set that fits the room, a Big Screen is nice, but all you need is one that everyone can see well.
A sterio is good too, music can set the mood for any user of the room, they can pop in a CD or select a radio channel that suits them.
Colors that work well for any age group are: Red, Blue, Green, Black, try to refrain from using hot pinks and other radical colors, you want something EVERYONE will enjoy. Often darker colors make a room appear smaller, lighter colors like pastels make a room seem larger. Decide which you want to do, make it look bigger if it isn't or smaller if it seems too large a space.
Go to Yard Sales, you can find thrifty things that are SUPER COOL for decorating & nick nacks. ALSO you can do this as a family and make it a sort of outing! :)

you could turn it into a hang out room. buy some cool chairs, a tv, a game table. paint the walls a cool color, have a wall to hang up posters and pictures. target is a cool place to shop for that kind of thing. target.com. go there and you can look for cool stuff. they have funky lamps, chairs, tables. sounds like a really fun project
