Swelling is usually an allergic reaction. Your dog may have ingested something that her body cannot tollerate, or she may have been bitten by some kind of stinging insect (like a bee, wasp or spider). Take her to a vet to determine the cause as soon as you can.

Take her to the vet ASAP!!! She is having an allergic reaction to something (insect bite probably) and if left too long her throat could swell shut. Facial swelling can also be a sign of a vaccine reaction but only if they had the shots in the last hour or two. But you need to get her to a vet immediately so they can give her something to counter act the swelling.

This happened to my Black Lab once - the vet determined it was probably a spider bite or bee sting. He gave her a shot of epinephrine for an allergic reaction. She was fine shortly afterwards. The important thing is to get to the vet as soon as you can.

It could just be an allergic reaction to something...
My cat had this once becasue she was in a fight with another cat or raccoon...I would take your pet to the vet asap.
I hope everything is okay...best of luck:)

my guess she got bite or strung by something. check her heartrate just behind her leg on the ribcage for a rapid beat. watch her for tiredness etc. she will probably be fine. If any of her actions are alarming take her to the vet. best of luck to you and your doggy

Take your dog to a vet. If you can't find a vet that's open take her to an animal hospital.
