Why do I sweat too much when I sleep?

If I turn the heat off, I get stomach pain if not I sweat too much?

Night sweats (yes, that is the official term) can be caused by many things and it would be advisable to see your doctor since he might want to do some testing and possibly a sleep study. Do you wake up with a headache and do you have unpleasant dreams?

Some of the causes of night sweats are:
1. nighttime hypoglycemia (which is why I asked about the dreams and headaches)
2. andropause (male menopause...yes, it really exists!)
3. diabetes
4. sleep apnea (the most common cause...do you snore?)
5. alcohol consumption
6. certain medications
