I've already tried shaving him, but because the glue is so close to his skin, I'm scared I'll cut him. My dog is depressed! PLEASE, any one that has any ideas or knows how to get this stuff off please let me know! Thank you!!

Wow. Gorilla Glue. Do not use any solvents (acetone, etc.) as it will make your dogs even more sick and depressed.

There are a few things that will work:

CITRA-SOLV natural cleaner and degreaser is a concentrated solvent made of citrus oils, surfactants, and limonene (from citrus peel oil) that safely cleans chewing gum, ink, oil, grease, tar, gummed labels, and even sticky fly paper "goo". It is the only solvent safe for use on animals, but it should be removed after it does its work. Using your thumb and first finger, rub a few drops of the Citra-solv thoroughly into the sticky goo or grease on the fur and skin. Remove it with a washcloth. Then rub Dawn liquid detergent into the fur. It is crucial NOT to add water until straight detergent has been worked into the fur. ONLY after you have thoroughly worked the detergent into the fur should you add warm water. This also applies to cleaning grease from fur.

Or, try any citrus-based solvent in small amounts at first. There is a non-toxic citrus-based solvent sold in beauty departments. Make sure it does not have anything but natural citrus-based solvents (NO ACETONE or any other aromatic solvent).

Test a small area to see if it works, if it does work wait a bit to make sure there are no allergic reactions. Dog skin can be VERY senstive.

Head for a dog groomer. They should be able to get most of it off if it's not right on the skin. Otherwise, wait a few days. It'll eventually loosen up and come off.

Try contacting your dog's vet or the animal posion control. If they don't know maybe you could take your dog to the groomers and see if they can get it off.

Buzz it off with electric trimmers. I would not put any chemicals or solvents on your dog.

first off contact the manufacturers of the glue, make sure it isn't toxic. theyll probably know how to get it off.

you are probably going to need to bathe him. that could be tough. make sure that you have everything you need with you.
