Actually, sex doesn't burn off many calories unless you're swinging from the chandeliers. It burns roughly 25-50 calories for every half hour you do it. I wouldn't use it as a source of weight loss.

It really depends on how long you and your partner hang in there. I have sweated more from sex, and my partner also from neglecting a regular work-out on a tread mill. And in fact my heart beats faster, plus I am exhausted after a bout of good long sex...Or I had rather call it love-making..

I once heard or read 600 calories an hour. It's a wonder I'm not a skeleton ...lol.

I think there are many factors affecting this including the position, length, duration and whether partner achieves a satisfactory climax.
