Yahoo, in my opinion should've never put in the point system. While it gets more people to come here to answer the questions, the questions are not always answered in the best of ways, if answered at all. Don't get me wrong, some answers I have gotten on here were good but I was lucky. People a lot of times just type something irrelevant or insulting or they spam. The point system definitely has it's cons. People just think it's one big game to get the most points.

Its called points gaming. Myself, the number one issue today is a resolve to the Iraq, issue, border security, and a higher accountability of activities in the White House and on Capitol Hill.
Realistically, we cannot pull out of Iraq now.
Realistically, we need to militarize our borders now.
Realitstically Bush needs to listento the people. Capitol Hill needs to listen to the people.
Without the above happening, we will no longer be the USA as we once new it.
Godspeed the troops!

The more they care about the issues, and the better answers they give, the more points they'll get for getting best answers. And besides: more points means more daily activity. I gotta get my fix!

I try to always give informed factual answers. If anything my answers are most often long and involved.I post good links to my facts. It has nothing to do with points.
I dislike any answer that says "thanks for the points " or "two"
the question is WHY ? You don't win anything ,just silly to me to do this just for the points.

I respond to the questions not for points but to speak my mind. I get people giving me thumbs down all the time. I really don't care.

For the same reason that people think it's funny to turn a children's character into a pornographic image.

Can't, and won't, speak for others, but I only answer questions that might help someone. Your question intrigued me, and I wanted to see some of the other responses.
Thanks for asking..
