If she will let you -- ice the wax and 'chip' it away with your fingernails. If not, just start rubbing the hairs between your first finger and thumb using an old washrag (the rubbing will heat up the wax, thus loosening it and the rag will pull it off) -- will take quite a while. When most is out, use the fine teeth of a comb. She will eventually get the rest out, but too much will make her sick.

Use baby oil. I use to work at a candle shop years ago, and that's what we used to get the wax out of the carpet.

Ice on wax is the best way to get out wax. If it gets warm or hot it just gets worse.

My cat did that once. I pretty much cut most of it out. She had a bushy tail and it was easiest just to cut her hair.

kerosene will dissolve the wax. If that doesn't work, light the kerosene with a match.
