It's not true at all. Old wives' tale. I used to get that all the time. If you see that same food over and over and over again, you're really not hungry for it. Technically I could have eaten prime rib every night, but between sampling all day and being worn out and tired, just a little grilled cheese hit the spot. It's amazing what being a head cook does for weight loss.

Aw, that's just a silly old saying.
My husband's a chef (a pastry chef at that!) and thin as a rail.
And obviously I trust him - I married him after all!
(And he makes the very best chocolates and creme brulee EVER!)

That saying comes from the idea that if he's skinny it's because even he won't eat his own cooking!
Whatever. Some people are just metabolically lucky!

no that chef could have a fast metabolism or they exercises so u can trust until u try there food then you'll know =)

No, it isn't true! After spending all day in the kitchen it is not at all uncommon to have little or no appetite.
