Breakfast: 1 small bowl of Smart Start cereal with 10 golden raisins and a little 2% milk.

Lunch: Any Lean Cuisine Entree

Dinner: Any Lean Cuisine Entree

Just before lunch, I'm starving. After lunch, I'm full for a whole hour, then I'm starving again. I'm full for a couple of hours after dinner, but I wake up around midnight because my stomach is growling so loud, and painfully so!

Yes, I'm drinking water in between. I've tried adding a small salad to the lunch yesterday, which helped a bit, but today I had a Lean Cuisine at noon, and just now, I caved in and went to Quiznos for a small sandwich! I probably should have gotten some fruit, but no place near here sells it. The only other option was McD's.
Anyway, if anyone has a suggestion on how to not be so hungry while decreasing calories, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

Hunger leaves you open to binging, which I'm trying to avoid. By the way, I have lost 7 lbs in 11 days since beginning my diet, so I know it works.

1st of all, you are consuming way too few calories. a small woman has to have at least 1200 cal. a day to healthily lose weight. a larger person and/or a man needs more.

if you eat too little your body goes into a starvation mode and will start hoarding calories. you are losing now but soon you will lose less and you are really putting your health at risk.

Suggestion: eat something every two to three hours. a perfect mini meal has protein, carbohydrates, and fat--your body need all three.

1 tablespoon peanut butter, whole wheat bread or crackers, small serving of fruit = mini meal.

1 small broiled chicken breast, brown rice or sweet potato w/ a little butter, small serving of fruit = mini meal.

6 oz yogurt with 1/4 cup granola and fruit = mini meal.

don't forget to exercise. it keeps your metabolism up.

try adding in some healthy snacks in between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and dinner. I am on the south beach diet and it teaches you to eat the right carbs so that you feel full. You can buy the book at wal-mart for like $10. But if you want to stick with what you have been doing...just add in some healthly snacks to keep you from binging.

the first two weeks are always really hard!! your stomach is used to being full to where u cant eat no more, it should get smaller and adjust. Whenever u feel hungry drink water, it will fill you up! Drink cups of water over and over until its meal time. Also try not to think about being hungry, its mostly mental. Stop complaining tho' its obviously working for you so be strong!!

Starving myself was what I did for 30+ years or made myself vomit my food just to either not gain or to lose one pound.

I found my utopia! I do Atkins. I can eat until I am comfortably full and not gain. When I lost my 50 pounds I limited my carbs but once I reached my goal I now just eat legal and never count calories. Nor am I ever hungry. Oh I love not being fat and having no worries of ever being fat again.

Try out the weight watchers points system. I started last week and have lost 4 pounds. I haven't been hungry either.

You could eat a salad with your entree each time.
You could also have fruit or yogurt as a "dessert" for some extra calories. Other things you could snack on without guilt would be
rice/popcorn cakes, peanuts, or air popped popcorn with a bit of seasoning salt.

Hope this helps!

Try bringing some fruit with you. Apples and bananas travel well.
