my cat "cowboy" raises his paw when i am ready to feed him .

Different cats have different personalities, and mannerisms. Some try to climb up your legs,or get very vocal, some even try to stand up on thier hind legs in eagerness to get fed. He probably does it 'cause he's impatient and wants you to hurry up.

and aini't it just adorable? my cat raises her right paw when i pick her up...
different cats have different mannerisms and that is your cat's individual mannerism that will stay in your memory of him (everytime you see a cat) until the end of time.

all cats have differant qualities. my cats meow like crazy when they want to be fed. yours just raises his paw. its just the cat.

perhaps he's saying thank you. or more likely he thinks your too silly to find the bowl so he's showing you the direction the food should go in. Cats think we're pretty dim, that's why they feel the need to bring us mice and birds, because we can't catch our own.
